During king Cecrops’ reign, Athena became the patron goddess of the city of Athens in a competition with Poseidon which Cecrops judged. They agreed that each would give the Athenians one gift, and Cecrops would choose whichever gift they preferred. Poseidon struck the rock of the Acropolis with his trident and a spring sprang up; the water was salty and was not thought very useful, whereas Athena struck the rock with her lance and an olive tree sprung up. Cecrops judged the olive tree to be the superior gift, for the olive tree brought wood, oil and food, and consequently accepted Athena as their patron.

The past few weeks have been hard for all of us as we follow the progression of the situation regarding COVID19 virus.
We wanted to let you know that we are committed to your safety, and have been implementing new regulations to ensure that.
All our employees are instructed to constantly wash their hands and clean surfaces with alcoholic wipes and bleached towels.
If you prefer to avoid entering the restaurant all together, we have partnered with Swipeby, a curbside pickup service, that allows you to place your order in from an app and simply receive the food while you’re in your cars (for more info https://swipe.by).
If you would prefer to not download the Swipeby app, you may call to place an order, give your card number through the phone, and come pick it up! Whenever you arrive at the restaurant you may call again to let us know you’re outside, and one of our employees would be happy to hand you your order if you don’t feel comfortable walking in the restaurant. This is a good way to minimize contact through cash or cards.
